In this 3 day seminar Dr Walker explores the nutritional needs of the patient, with an emphasis on pain control, soft tissue and joint healing and total health strategies. By understanding how the body actually works, we can apply this knowledge to maximize our clinical outcomes. Exceptional Dental #2 - Exceptional Diagnostics
Exceptional Dental #2 - Exceptional Diagnostics is designed to take your dental diagnostics and treatment to the next level. Here you will learn advanced diagnostic protocols for determining the maxillary position and whether the distortions are Dental, Skeletal, or Cranial in nature. We will review and expand on the Cranial Articulator protocols discussed in ED #1 and explore in detail various radiographic techniques for a more accurate cranial diagnosis, including a unique "Cranial" cephalometric system developed by Dr's Walker and McArthur. You will also learn to diagnose the Maxillary/Mandibular arch relationships to determine if dental orthopaedics will be required, and if so, what dental appliances would be most suitable for each case. You will also learn to use various Computerized Dental Diagnostics in your clinical treatment planning, including EMG, Mandibular Tracking, and TM Joint Vibration Analysis. We will cover the protocols for proper data aquisition and advanced clinical interpretation for each of these pieces of equipment. We will also teach you some advanced finishing techniques, including Postural TENS Coronoplasty. Finally, we will present and discuss some newer computerized equipment to help diagnosis the state of the Autonomic Nervous System, which is critical in the treatment planning for any sleep disorders and chronic pain patients. We will also doscuss some new Postural and Force Distribution Hardware that will quickly let you know if the patients problems are descending or ascending in nature.
